For one of our clients, a Private Equity firm in perpetual development focused on European small and medium enterprises, we are currently recruiting a Senior Accounting & Financial Controller. The company has just successfully closed its second fund and is in the process of raising a larger one. The company is currently growing up and has a great potential of development in the years to come. You will be established within the finance/operations team at an early stage of its development where many things need to be put in place.
In this challenging role, you will have the following responsibilities:
For administration and accounting for two funds: - Reviewing accounting prepared by fund administrators; - Preparation of fund reporting and financial information; - Preparation of capital calls, distributions and payment instructions; - Preparation and review of investor capital account statement and maintaining internal position records; - Ensuring transactions are properly recorded by the administrators; - Liaising with fund / corporate company bankers and fund administrators;
For administration and accounting for corporate entities and investment holding SPV's:
- Assisting the CFO in preparing information for the initial establishment of corporate entities; - Preparation and assisting in the preparation of KYC/AML and other compliance; - Preparation of management accounts and financial; - Reviewing accounting prepared by administrators; - Ensuring transactions are properly recorded by the administrators; - Liaison with fund corporate bankers, fund administrators and stakeholders; - Reviewing/preparing direct and indirect tax information; - Fund valuation and the preparation of information for fund reports with portfolio team;
- Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance and have a relevant accountancy qualification; - Have at least 5 years' relevant experience in a similar position; - Have a prior funds and Luxembourg GAAP SPV experience; - Have a strong IT and Microsoft capabilities; - Enjoy working in a challenging environment which changes and evolves; - Fluent in French and English; - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; - Open to travel to the main office in London on a regular basis; - Comfortable to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
